Sundown SA 12's or DC Audio 12' Level 3

I have been reading the forums of both these subs... both seem promising.

The wattage is about the same, and the prices are competitive...

Any opinions? I have 2 JL 12W3's sealed right now. Looking to see how much better these brands might be. Sticking to 12's for the time being...15's later, lol

Also, I am waiting on a design for a ported box. The SA 12's recommend the same cubic ft as the JL's do according to the websites, so going to build a ported box for the JL's now, and move the other subs into it. Or build a new one if it doesnt sound right...

wow really? I watched youtube videos of both trying to get some more info. Why so much in favor of Sundown now?

Also.....I been reading over at DC that they have some surround issues? Not sure if that is old or new news to be honest....need to research it more.

I have looked at the Lethal Injections, and they also seem promising. Will have to research them more also.

My current goal is to get the design for the ported box and build it. Looking at 3.5 cubes @32Hz with an interchangeable port just incase I want change the tuning.

So far the Sundown, DC, and Lethal Injection seem to be ok with that box size and tuning if I read the specs right...

BTW I am not looking at getting these tomorrow or anything....maybe in a month or so once the funds become available, lol.

The new box is priority atm...

Oh, and btw... I am looking at putting 1200watts RMS to 2 12's so that might factor in to which sub selection will be. Rockford Fosgate T1000.1BD birthed at 1260

Yea, I saw pretty much all 3 of them need 600rms. I am sure you can drive them harder, but it isnt a priority atm. Once I get around the end of the year I will be doing 4 12's and will look at different amp selections or just buy a 2nd Fosgate if this one pounds 2 pretty good. Still on the fence about getting 15's though, lol
