Never used the remotes that Ive had with other amps, but now Im going to use the sundown remote. Does this control the gain or bass boost? And lets say i have the gain or bass boost at a certain level , will the remote max out the level I have set or just bypass the screw adjustments? Sorry for being a remote noob:crying:

No problem. There is no need for a bass boast feature of any kind on any amplifier and never ever use it ok? Make sure that thing stays set at 0 at all times. Set up your gains accordingly and then you can just use the Gain Controller to increase and decrease your sub level.

If you have anymore questions feel free to ask away.

when setting the gain on a sundown amp, should that knob be turn all the way up, or all the way down? sorry, if i hijacked, but im trying to set the gain on my 3000D tomorrow.

What knob are you speaking of.??

Here.

Gains are supposed to in most cases be set to match the output on your Head Unit.

If you are talking about the BassBoast knob it needs to be at 0. "All the way down".

Also you can read this if you need a little more in-site on gain settings.

i was refering to the remote. not the gain control on the sub.
You leave the remote unplugged until the gain is properly setup. After your gain is set. Power the amp off and take your remote unit set it on MIN and plug it in. Power the amp back up and you will be good to go.

Like i said the Gain Controller only "Remotely" raises the gain setting on the amp to the point that you have it set on the amp and no more.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Oh and make sure when you gain on the 3000D have your crossover point set at about 10:30 to 11:00 when you start out. Im trying to make it as simple as i can put it.
SSF needs to be set as well.
i just PM ed you.

you dont have to answer my last PM.

ok, i think i understand waht you mean. the LPF dial should be turned to about the 10:30/ 11:00 position.

and by the way, your PM box is full.

thanks again
