I like deep low bass, listen to mostly hip hop/ rap

Which sub would be better suited for me in the lows? Going to be putting 1500W rms@1ohm to it

Sundown Audio Z v.3 12 Z v.3 Series

or

SoundQubed HDC 3.0 12 HDC3.112 Copper Coil Subwoofer

Honestly probably the sundown.

I like both and I'm a big AQ/SQ fan but my hdc3s liked higher tuning.

Thanks for the input I'm going with the Sundown then I've heard good things about them. The amp is going to be Zapco ST-1500XM Mono D Amp seems to be a pretty solid amp and good price.

You may also consider the Sundown X series. On that amp, it may get down more than the zv3. Just my opinion

Honestly I just don't like the huuuge awkward surround on it.. does seem like a great sub though.

Are those SSA Xcon's really a harder hitting sub down low than the sundowns? I'm pretty new to this stuff as you can tell so thanks for everyone's help!

I just don't like the fact that it reduces cone surface area. I only have experience with the Sundowns, not the SSA's

Zv3 is a far better bet... if nothing else they use American made coils and are built in house, so build quality will be superior to the X or AQ.
