$ wise maybe.. if your subs sound good are in good shape and box is real nice i'd keep it.. if u have a strong amp (does most power at that subs wired ohm load) and you can build your own box and want to try that's up to you, if you have to pay $250 for decent box and 1 you have now is good i'd keep it..

 
So i have a pair of Sundown Sa12d2 in a custom box. I know a dude who has a memphis mojo 15 and he wants to trade me straight across. Mine are used, his is brand new in the box with a 599 dollar price tag. Is this a fair trade?
sounds like a no to me. did you buy your sundowns new?

the price of 2 sa 12's with a custom box is equal if not more than that 15 with no enclosure.

you've got more cone area with the 2 12's and about the same power handling capabilities.

personally, i wouldn't trade.
