Sundown E8v3 Box Question

Hey everyone I have 2 Sundown Audio E8v3's on 250 watts each. I don't plan on upgrading to more power. I currently have a box thats 2.0 cubes ported to 32 hz and the subs are inverted. The subs do not bottom out right now, and they're begging for a bigger box or more power, they don't sound as I expected. So instead of getting another amp, if I get a box that's 2.7 cubes ported tuned to 35 hz will it be too big for the subs? I see people run huge boxes all the time with less power, but these subs are not being powered to their full ability. Will it hurt anything and how do you think it will sound? It's going in a trunk of a 2003 Toyota Camry LE.
