Sundown Audio 12' sub amp help.

I was looking at upgrading my system and read alot of reviews and SA seems to be the best bet for me. I was planning on getting two of these and putting them into a ported box.

Something that does 2-3k @ 1 OHm. Sundown 1500 or 2500, Soundstream Rubicon 2500, 2 APSM's, AQ2200, DC2K...all depends on your budget.

There is going to be a lot of people that will tell you AP is crap but they are cheap, reliable, and a lot of people use them for daily and comps with no problem. Plus it doesn't have a skull and rose on it!

Come on the skull and rose is definitely what sells all their units! And the audio pipe would be enough to power both of the SA 12s?

OP what's your electrical like? That Audiopipe at 1 ohm might be little taxing. I run an MB Quart 1200.1 at 1 ohm on my 130 amp alternator and I could use an extra battery...

sundown makes 12' amps? how would anyone fit that in their cars?

The Power Acoustik says it does 2k but I would be skeptical. The AP should be fine to push them and unless you have a Prius then you should have no problems. What car are you running? I ran a AP1500 in my Caliber and in my Jetta with no problems and I'm running a Rub2500 in my FJ with a 100 or 110a alt with a stock battery with a little drops. I added a second battery run between 1700-1800w @ 1 with no problems at all.

i have a subaru outback sedan. and as for the electrical it is all stock. and i know its a typo but if you balance the amp on the top of the car, you should be fine.

Big 3 for sure and perhaps a second battery. If you see dropping on 1500 turn the volume down until you can afford the second batt. On 1500 though you should be fine.

What year? When I look at replacement alts it gives me 80 - 110a.
