Sundown Amps

Decided to go with a SAZ-1500D for my (2) TC-1000's & a SAX-100.4 (bridged) to my CDT ES-62i's
From all I've read here (and on other forums) those should be a pretty good choice.

sure will...I'll be running a SAZ3k and my other friend is running 3 of the 3k's

That's good to hear...finally decided to quit being a schmuck and save for something nice...the Hifonics stuff has done it's job but now it's time for something to make my system cleaner.

You going to be able to run that SAZ-3000D on a 170amp alternator? If so then I guess my 260amp alternator will be more than enough for the measly SAZ-1500D.

Yeah my 170 will do it's job...I'll prob get some voltage drops on real heavy bass lines but 170 will have to do...a 200 amp alt for my car is $420 whereas the 170 is $260:crap: Maybe down the line I'll throw in a dual alt setup if need be...I have the room for it, I just don't feel like spending the time on making a bracket for a second alt...

I guess I got away pretty cheap on the alt for my Silverado then...the 260amp (170amp @ idle) was only $349 (with an extra $99 for a lifetime warranty).

BTW...what the hell are you doing up at this hour? I thought I was the only Ca. fool who got up so early.

LOL...I haven't gone to sleep yet:crap: I don't have class on tues/thurs so I stayed up late...Although I should really be in bed cuz tomorrow I have some things to do..well, sorta...gonna paint a box for a 15" later today...and look for an apt...What brand alt did you get? It's pretty pricey for alts when it comes to small cars...i have a lil toyota 4cyl

Got my alt from Iraggi...pretty good guy to deal with...no problems whatsoever.

Nate's also another great guy to work with:D Gave me a pretty good deal on my alt IMO...Usually runs for $330 through him...You go to comps? We have one coming up in Feb on the 9-10th in Sacramento

No I'm not really into that...would like to go to one just to check it out...I drive 140 miles everyday to and from work (have 213,000 on my 2001 Silverado) so I stay home a lot and just relax...besides...I'm OLD

Can't wait to hear how that comes out. I just picked up a cdt m6 based component set. Thought about passive with a 100.4, just seemed like way too much power.

I'm guessing if installed/setup properly that front stage should be pretty awesome!

I'm having custom door pods made for these and will be deadening the door to death so it should sound pretty awesome.

That amp should work good for you passive...just be smart with the gains and the volume knob and you shouldn't have any problems.
