Sold Sundown 3000 $650 shipped

Well crap, picked up this used Sundown 3000 in hopes of running it on the two rlp18's I have coming, but I contacted powermaster and they don't offer a HO alt for my truck. Unfortunately with all the recent latency from iraggi and the EA/etc stuff, powermaster was the only alt company I really trust right now.

So no alt, means no runnin the 3000. So here it is for a firm $650 shipped to the lower 48 states.

By far one of the best looking amps I've seen, super clean. Only issue is one small scratch on the heat sink which there is a picture of below.

This just my 2 cents. I am running the 3000d in my Roush Mustang and no issues. But then again, I am only running 3 - 10" Arc subs with the amp turned way down.

Did you check out Ohio Generators alternators? They are way better than EA and Iraggi stuff, maybe they can help you out.

Might have to shoot ohio gen an email, haven't checked into their reliability. If I can get a reliable alt for my truck it stays...if not it goes. Would really like it to stay so I can over power my rlp's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

What load on the amp? and stock alt?

I was afraid to run this on my stock alt even with two deka's in the back. I didn't think it was a smart idea.

ok, got ahold of ohio gen, gotta pull my alt to grab some numbers off the back of it. If it matches up I can get an alt from them...525+ship :/ But hey its an alt.

So this sale is on hold until I verify some numbers for ohio gen and see if they can do me up an alt.

I think this might officially be off the market.

EA said they could do me up anywhere from a 200 to a 300amp for a good price. Got my alt pulled to grab the numbers but Ohio Gen is closed till tomorrow now. I guess I will call Ohio Gen in the morning and if they can do it and then do some deciding.

If things don't work out tomorrow in the alt quest I will bump this back up. Sorry for any premature ejac :/

theres an alt on here somewhere for the 4.6/5.4 it should fit yours its a 350 amp if im correct.... not to get ya outta sellin the amp but.....lol...

Roughly what sort of electrical would be needed to safely operate this amp? not in a pure spl situation but for a DD playing music, what size alt should be used and how much battery capacity.

good chance it won't work...unfortunately the dood from Ohio Gen said ford put different parts in their regulators 11 times in the past 7 years on the f150's. Thats why I had to pull mine to get numbers off it. Ford sucks!

Sundown recommends a 200amp alt and atleast 1 powermaster 3100. Of course it will depend on your other accessories.

I'm trying to track down an alt, if I can I will be running that and 1 or 2 intimidators.
