Well crap, picked up this used Sundown 3000 in hopes of running it on the two rlp18's I have coming, but I contacted powermaster and they don't offer a HO alt for my truck. Unfortunately with all the recent latency from iraggi and the EA/etc stuff, powermaster was the only alt company I really trust right now.

So no alt, means no runnin the 3000. So here it is for a firm $650 shipped to the lower 48 states.

By far one of the best looking amps I've seen, super clean. Only issue is one small scratch on the heat sink which there is a picture of below.

Please check here for some of my feedback as a seller: http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=221721

Bummer, GL on the sale!
I know man, I really wanted to run this amp for the good power and for the clean look of the amp in the install. Woulda been awesome.

Honestly I wanted to deal with only powermaster on an alt though, and I'm not going to go through the hassles of dealing with an unreliable alt company.

And the last thing I want to do is drop voltage on this guy...that would just make me feel really bad //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

what vehicle do you need the alt for?
07 f150 with the 4.6

Only wanted to go with powermaster because its a new vehicle and my daily driver...don't want any chance of having to keep rippin the alt out if any issues arise. Powermaster seemed to be the most reliable choice.

can't make a bracket for one of the universal alts to fit? then get an external regulator?
If it didn't only have 2k miles on it and has a 7yr 72k warranty I would try to fab something up and run a 2nd alt. The alt on these 4.6's is in a suk location. I just don't want any chance of voiding any electrical/motor warranty by adding a 2nd alt. I know the magnusson-moss stuff but don't want to fight it just incase //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I don't really know the draw on this amp, could I run it effiecntly with a 150amp alt and 10 deep cycles? Atleast until I get my HO alt in?
See Sundownz post...i would trust what he says more than me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

With 10 deep cycles you have plenty of reserve -- should do fine. You would pretty much have to peg it at 3kw one sine waves for quite some time to really drain much below 11.5 volts or so. On music you should be good.
