I've seen the SSA forum's test on them, but that was with not to beefy of a electrical. The voltage always drops to like 12.5 volts. I know it's amp specific, but I want to try to find out how much they will put out. My electrical will be a batcap 3000, batcap 2000 (maybe 2), 2 runs of 0 gauge for power and ground, and a 250a h/o alt. I think my nine.1 might put out just as much power as the sundown. I'm just seeing if it would be worth it to buy a sundown.

I've seen 5kw out of a strapped pair at 1 ohm ( .5 per amp ) at 12.8v

I wouldnt think the 9.1 would do as much power, and even if it did it wouldnt do it for near as long before blowing up.

Well I'm talking about just a single amp's power.

ok 5000/2 = 2500. Strapping the amps doesnt make them do much more power, if any. it just allows you to half the load going to them.

But that was also at a .5 ohm load for 1. It will be at a 1 ohm load.

Sounds like you really don't wanna buy the amp, so don't. Your not gonna see a huge output difference. But the 1500d will be more reliable.

but to answer your question. at 1 ohm on decent electrical I normally see 2kw...
