Just depends on his personal goals. If he really wants to dig low, judging from the t/s, the Skar would be the better choice. If he's looking more to get loud and beat the block, the SA will probably give him the output he's looking for.

That is correct.

By design the Skar was made with a lower Fs, slightly more linear x-max, and less motor power -- all will increase the very lowest of the lows.

By design the SA has higher motor power, lower mass, and a bit higher Fs (still very low) -- all will increase maximum SPL potential.

If you are metering in the 30s, as has been shown, SPL difference between the two is likely to be negligible.

Bottom line is a skar or sa in a properly built box will do wonders. The key is the box though.
