Sundown 1000D enough for 2 w6v2s?

I recently traded my 13w6v2 for 2 12w6v2s and will be swapping the pdx1000 out as well, I still have my Sundown SAE-1000D to replace the alpine and wondering if this will be a good enough amp for the pair of w6s? I originally had the Sundown running my single 13 but it just didnt seem to have enough juice for it and the 13w6 really came alive with the pdx1000 (I was also running the Sundown at 2ohm on the single 13 which meant it was only getting 600wrms) Im just seeing what your opinions were, or if I should look at a bigger amp for the 12s??

What do u guys think about the w6s ported vs sealed?

They sounded better sealed to me. Both boxes I used were made to exact JL specs. Ported was a little louder, but sealed box sounded more precise and actually was better below 32hz.

I had a friend who had 2 12W6 v2's ported in the trunk of a Cadillac El Dorado off a 1000 watt RMS Autotek amp and it was loud. If you want more SQ go with sealed, but if you want more SPL go with ported. Also take into consideration box size and the room you have and are willing to give up.

PDX does it @ 4ohm also....

The PDX @ 4ohms and the Sundown @ 1 ohm would both deliver ~1000w rms.
