Suggestions?

Mom is wanting a little bump in her truck. Decided Im going to try out the Sundown E8's D4

I don't need anything fancy or crazy on an amp. But I've never installed anything this 'small' I guess. And with the E8's only running what 300-500 rms (give or take a little?)

What amp do you guys suggest for pushing this little guy?

Are you getting the v.1? Or the v.2? Or the v.3?

The v.1 are rated for 200 watts rms, the v.2 are rated for 500 watts rms, and the v.3 are rated for 300 watts rms.

I have not personally used Sundown products, but every single person I have ever talked to about Sundown says the subs do at least 25% more than rated power without an issue.

And you're running two or one?

Ported, Dodge ram 1500.. Could care less about the box. It's going ontop of the seat. I'm not taking anymore time out of my day to measure correctly and build some complicated sht to go under the seat lol. She doesn't care earlier.

Exactly, but I'm wanting to at least get something sort of decent. No more than 100 preferably but it's whatever. I just don't really know what to look for I guess

I will probably run the v3. I will just be running 1.

Well if thats the case just use sundowns box design on their website. For the amp get a D4 and get the ppi 650.1 or a used one from here.

Well if thats the case just use sundowns dual box design on their website. For the amp well depends how many subs your running. I wouldve jumped on the brz1200 that was just on here. Wouldve been a good amp for them(i bought it lol)

Like I said I am just running 1, lol. So Ill need something that can push 300-500 rms ish.

Thinking about getting one of these for my friend, the E8V3, and then put it in either a centor console or a small box in his 1971 bug sedan. Still thinking though.

I've seen it done before. As long as the amp has the crossover capabilities to run both id think it'd be ok.
