Suggestions

I am open to all suggestions on what i should shoot for...for my next setup. it would be goin in a 1998 eb 4dr explorer...i WAS thinkin 2 18 Btls off a collossus but would like a little more input...i am willing to go upto 1000 dollars for subs and 1500 for amp(s) i am considering going with a few 12's or somethin but would like some other opinions...the opinions i need are what brand/model sub(s), size, how many, power needed, and what tuning...i would like clean DEEP, LOW, BOOM bass lol, that will get loud as pizz(hoping 149+ on TL on music) ..wont be for a while b/c snow has just started to fall today so i will start once i get the truck under way with all repairs, maitinence, ect. thanks for all input.

With that kind of budget you can get pretty much any decent setup.

I dont have any suggestions cause there is just so much you can do.

those xxx aren't SPL subs, so i dont' know about 149+ on music. May or may not do it tho, it may just come down to install

50's off music in the kick in that explorer will not be hard to do. 4 12's or 2 15's is the way i would go to keep it under back seat height (18.5). if you dont care about looks then go with more cone area, 2 18's, or 4 15's.

ok, so im reconsidering the 2 18 btl's and am thinkin of somethin like 4 15" hdc3's or somethin off of rated power or a little over rated...but i need other suggestions...

HDC's would do the job and sound good for daily if tuned right...

As far as the amp im not sure, what are you looking at for rms?

I know the ZX2500.1's are awesome, can get them around 500 ish and they come around 27-2800 watts. I have seen a birth sheet at almost 3000 I think it was 29 something..

if i would go with the btls i would want around 2500 rms each, the hdc3's 1500-2000 each
