i was wondering with his board and cpu would it work together CPU Socket Type Socket AM2

CPU Type Athlon 64 X2/Athlon 64/Sempron do you just ignore the socket am2? and look at the athlon 64x2/athlon 64/sempron?

Good processorShitty motherboard

Get a Seagate hard drive

Power supply looks decent

Memory looks fine (BTW, you don't NEED 800 MHz memory, although it's nice to have the extra headroom)

Graphics card is good

Now, one thing about the graphics card. While it is certainly fast, especially for the price, it does not support Shader Model 3.0, which means it does not support High-Dynamic Range rendering. While this isn't a huge issue at the moment (only a few games make use of it right now), many new games are being developed with HDR in mind.

Also, I'd rather have 1 GB of RAM and a better video card than 2 GB of RAM and a worse video card for gaming ... Just me ... I'd go 2 GB of RAM after getting a 7900GT //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

well this is pretty much the same thing- seagate 250gb hd

do you think i'd be happier with the 7900gt in the long run?

the motherboards are the hardest thing for me to find, because a) i have basically no real computer experience b) i have no idea on most of the stuff about them. could someone reccommend a good motherboard that won't explode my wallet.

The 7900GT will make u! lol, I agree with Jmac didn't know if u were willing to spend more money tho (u added like $300+ to ur setup since the beggining)
