Suggestions On Summer Jobs That Make Good $

my summer will consist of a 5 week internship (prolly only like 10 bucks an hour, but 40+ hours a week), followed by commercial fishing up in the southern bering sea (shitty work, but worth the dough), then ill be doing construction work up in the middle-of-nowhere alaska for $40/hour (again, shitty work, shitty living quarters, but good money)
all in all, i should come out with around $18k-$20k in 4 months or so, then back to school for me!

Washington State University

im on full ride atm. The main reason im working so much is because a) i want to pay off the rest of my truck and b) i have a new condo to furnish

I'm surprised no one has mentioned valeting, I have some friends than can come back with 200 bucks from the night (not including their paycheck)
They get paid minimum wage, but get anywhere from 150-200 on weeknights, and 200+ on weekends just in tips.

I plan on doing some valeting over the summer, in addition to my full time job.
ya we got a place in town that valets cars. its located by the movie theaters, and its a really upscale bar. There's always like ferraris, lambos, bentleys, etc. there all the time.

There's got to be some kind of temporary labor service i can contact. I tried searching, and also saw this ad in town called "Able Body Labor" but its a piece of shit. They start out paying minimum wage. Fucl{ that. i need something that pays more than minimum wage.

So far the best idea was the charter boat mate. I'll have to look into tossing baggages at the airport tho. Not sure how easy its gonna be to get a job there, and if they really do make $20 an hour. That seems a lil far fetched.

Dude, what do you expect?

Reasonably you could expect 6 an hour for two weeks on the high end.

No one wants to hire someone and train him just to get one week of work out of them.

Sorry

and you dont need a trailer for that, lol, just throw it in the back of a car. And if higher end places want fertilizers and shit, guess what....Dont get there! lol Go to an average sized neighborhood with average sized lawns and charge $20-$25 dollars and mow and weed eat for them. Hand out business cards to like 100 houses within close proximity and I imagine you could at least get 20 ppl to say okay, 20 houses a week = at least $400 a week untaxed. And that's just working 20 hours a week, part time.

i dont have a mower tho. it just all seems too complicated

That wasn't useless. I learned something about your pool.

Remember, if you think a post is useless, that generally means you're just out of the loop and not part of the cool crowd. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
