Suggestions on Components for my Audio overhaul

you definitely want to go with one of those 2 companies for a box or get a custom one built. those Chinese pre-fabs just sound like ***. The sd-10 generally sounds better in vented to me,

If you're set on a shallow mount sub, stereo integrity made one, but looks like it has been discontinued. Also, heard good things about Pioneer shallow mount subs. Another reason I'd go with a ported is that you have a lot of speakers in there and you need good bass output so that it keeps up with the speakers. Well designed ported boxes can sound very good and also provide you with extra output.

I am set on a shallow mount. At this point I'm leaning towards the Sundown 10D2 coupled with a Subthumb enclosure (I may decide to build my own).

I'm going to search around for an AMP that I like, if you have suggestions/opinions, feel free. Keep in mind I'm not looking to outclass the equipment I already have.

The last step is figuring out how I'm going to to pay for all of this! Haha, my $700 car audio project budget is making babies =]

Hifonics are decent for the money. I recently posted a review on my MB Quart reference amp, I love it. Sonicelectronix.com has them at a good price, just pick one with the power rating you need.

i have a 2010 f150 screw, i went with a pioneer nex4100 and a sky backup camera, i dont see you having an issue with the infinity kappas, i am going with old school boston acoustic pro 6.5's, cutout diameter is 5 inches, on the kappa its 5 1/8" you could easily shave down the plate and they will fit fine,

Would I be able to power that with 4 gauge? The alternative would be for me to join the 4g and the 8g I ran.

For a small 4ch, you don't need to rewire. Even 8awg should be fine.

I really appreciate everyone's suggestions and more than timely responses. I've learned a ton over the last few weeks installing and looking at different solutions.

To clear up any confusion, as to what I have or haven't done

I have already installed the below:

Amp: Eclipse EA4000 75W x 4 Amp

Deck: Pioneer AV-4600BT

Front: JBL P660C

Rear: Infinity Kappa 682.11

I'm currently working on completing that setup with a sub/box/amp.

I'm leaning towards:

Sub = Sundown 10D2

Box = Subthump

Amp = undecided

Just as an update, after doing some reading, I think I'm going to run a single Class D amp for the sub at this point.

...on the prowl. (pretty irritating for any given AMP you look at you have to read 100s of reviews to see what the "true" power output ranges are)

I'd be very interested in the sub, but since you get it at a yard sale, I don't have a lot of confidence in the mysterious backstory as to why it ended up in a yard sale...all the reviews I've read on this sub have been glowing.

It MAY have a tick at high excursion, I really didn't hear much of anything. Pm me if interested. Pound it hard then recone if you blow it
