Suggestions on cheaper subwoofer

I hear the pioneer references are actually really nice. I believe I actually used to own a pair. Run as many of those sundown e8's as you can afford in a somewhat low ported box. You have quite a lot of options really.

You can always sell your more budget stuff later and use the money to help upgrade. I think I got a quote for 220 shipped for 4 of those sundown e8's from someone or another. That should go plenty low and loud if tuned and installed right. Ends up being rms 1000 at 1 ohm if wired right.
