Suggestions for IB / Freeair / Infinite Baffle 15"

from all the reviews i have seen, some from personal friends. the best IB sub is the ID idq. I do know htat when looking for a IB sub you want to look at the Q of the sub, and the ID idq has a perfect Q for IB

what makes the Qts of .28 so perfect? my understanding was that the Qts of an IB sub will be the expected Q of the sub system, and that one should find one with a Q you would want, such as .707 for optimally flat response, or a bit higher or lower depending on your taste for low frequency extension and bass boost ...

some times the T/S parameters just aren't an accurate way of determining the real world response.

imo, you need a sub with a stiffer suspension. IB doesn't have the restorative properties a box does. so the speaker needs to rely more on greater restorative properties of the suspension.

DD and AQ will also work IB. power handling will just be down from what it could handle in a box. if they rate it 300rms/600 music/ 1200 peak, give it 300.
