rms for both subs on a monoblock amp

usally 500watts rms @1 ohm will be cheaper than 500watts @4 ohm because that for ohm the one that does that much at 4 ohm will more power at 2 ohm and 1 ohm just make sure if you wire it to 1 ohm make sure the amp is stable at 1 ohm because not all are

Alot of people seem to like the hifonics amps ive never tried them but you can get them cheap on the net

Theres a couple from one website look around you might find better deals ive never used any of these but they seemed to be well liked

Also- what's your opinion on these subs, anyways? Are they decent? I remember back in the day, Fosgate Subs were the shiznit- but this was 10-15 years ago. LOL...

ive never run fosgate subs but now a couple of people that have had a pair and they liked them very well. You might look into the hifonics brutus line they seem to be good budget amps

ok- I'm seeing a lot of amps that only go to 2 or 4 ohms- not 1 (ie- crutchfield doesn't show any in my searches). Why is that? And how do I know if they're 'stable' at 1 ohm?

I dont belive crutchfield sells any that are 1 ohm stable atleast ive never seen any there. And to tell if its 1 ohm stable you just have to read the discreption and it should tell you. If it doesnt say that its 1 ohm stable chances are its not
