i want to get a single 15" sub for a system in my 94 MX-6. im turning the trunk into a box, the top will be 5-6" off the bottom and the sub will recess where the spare tire used to be. im looking for a single 15" sub. somthing that wouldnt cost more than $150 and could handle atleast 1000RMS. im thinking about getting a profile CL800 or a lanzar Vibe248 to push it... my last system was 2 aw1206t's and they sounded realy good being pushed by two lanzar Vibe268's. so im leaning twards a single AW1506T wit the smaller lanzar pushin it.... unless someone can suggest a better one for the same price range....

for 150 - the best you will prolly do is a shiva, SS RL-i, AA atlas, tempest, or maybe somthing else. those are all under 185ish (atlas = 165+shipping) but they ait gonna handle no 1000w. 500~800 would be a better estimate... and the tempest will take 750 @ $150.

so i dont know mang.

If you haven't bought the amp yet, buy one with less power handling. You'll have a lot more choices for $150 in the 300-600w RMS range.

All of these drivers are very efficient, so I would recommend one f these along with a smaller amp, especially since you are turning your trunk into a box, most of these drivers are large enclosure drivers.

Is there a reason it must handle 1kW?

front doors are subs...fyi Go with AudioControl 6x9 components up front and coaxials in the rear. You will be impressed with just changing to that.

If you can find these in your area. Id recommend these for drop ins. They play from 40Htz on up. Sound very nice on amplified power for premium...
