I got $500 to spend on a system. I'm new to this and I was wondering whats the best amp+sub I can squeeze out of $500. SPL

not really SPL, but im sure you can get a new type R, amp, wire and even a new HU for right around $500.

i cant see you spending only $500 and getting a full SPL system considering you want new equipment.

ummm spl will not be to my liking for only 500$ but id say for new equip, buy an alpine 9884 with ipod hookup, knukonceptz 4 gauge amp kit for 50$ that bring you up to around 200$

then buy a kicker zx1000.1 or 750.1 depending on cash situation which are high rating amps that are underrated for power than they really put out 300$ or 250$. finally id run a single 15" alpine type r in a big ported box like 4.0 tuned to 34hz 60$ for box building it on your own, and 180$ for the sub

Subs: You are looking for SPL I think these subs will feed you need for bass with out breaking your bank.

I know these subs are a little over what you wanted to spend but if you can't spend that much then try only one sub.
