what would work good in place of my 6.5 RE's? they don't have as much midbass as i was expecting and the crackle under about 150hz //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif i would like to keep the crossovers and the tweets, cause i don't have the money for a complete new comp set. so i want a decent 6.5 that will sound good crossed over around 80hz-whatever the RE crossover is...

You need to find out what that LPF crossover point is //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif No point in suggesting a mid that can only play up to 2500hz, if the crossover point is 4khz //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Also need to know your budget, and if the RE crossover has any "special" features built in (such as a zobel network, etc).

crossover point....no clue. but there is nothing special in it, 2 resistors, a cap, and a coil.
