Subwoofers do not work

We have just installed two 12 inch Blaupunkt 1200 2 ohms subwoofers with two 1X400 watt Blaupunkt amp powering the amp is a Tsunami 2 farad capacitor. We are receiving power to the cap from the battery. We are receiving power from the cap to the amps the indicator light is on solid on the amps. From the amps we are wired directly from the output speaker side to the speaker. We have the remote hooked up and turned up about half way the blue indicator on the remote is on. The subwoofer output from the receiver (Monkey Video MDVDAFD2) is sending a very weak signal to the amps. We have replaced the RCA cables with no change we have hooked up the front speakers output from the receiver to the subwoofer and we got a decent signal not anything to jump up and down about. It seems the subwoofer out is not outputing a desired signal. The subwoofer output is turned on the receiver. Any help and technical advice about this receiver would be greatly appreciated.
