Subwoofers at Best Buy. Infinity References are the best bet?

A guy I work with wants a pair of 10's for his truck and is getting stuff at BB because of 6 months no interest. Amp is a Profile AP1000M that puts out 300w @ 4 ohms and 600w @ 2 ohms (more like 550w?). He listens to mostly country. Told him he could save at least $100 if he bought online but money is the issue.

BB carries Pioneer, Alpine, Infinity, Kenwood, Rockford, and Sony.

those were my first subs and i blew up plenty of them. but the amp was a crappy legacy "2400" watt amp. with the amp you are looking at the subs should handle it.

Surprisingly the type E's and S's are pretty good.Type R's, I'm so ****ing sick of.All the ones I have heard sound like ***.Same way with the components.

Can't go wrong with the refs. tho.

The AP1000M is rated for 310w @ 4 Ohms and 500w @ 4 Ohms?

Not too certain where you got your figures from but I'd say they're a little off.

When taking into account Profile's penchant for overrating their gear somewhat I'd say the 550w figure you tossed out there is something that simply won't ever happen...

Youre right, it's rated 500w at 2 ohms.
