ok i have asked on other fourms and havnt been able to get a clear answer.

i was wondering if a 12 and a 15 same sub model with same power well say FI-Q as an example.

will the 12 have better SQ then the 15 because there is more moving mass on the 15 so there will be a little more delay then the 12?

or will a 12 and 15 FI Q sound the same aside from the 15 being louder and deeper?

No. The 15 will potentially play louder. If everything is the same except the 15 just has more cone area, there is no reason the 12 would be clearer.faster, etc.

The 15 will require a larger enclosure.

If you have the space and the desire for more bass, the 15 is the clear winner.

Yep, go for the 15 if you can fit it.

thanks for your reply, if anyone else can confirm this that would appreciated
15" or even the 18" if you can fit it:)

the common stereotype is that bigger the sub, the slower it is and the worse it is for sq. this is complete b.s. true the moving mass is greater but your moving a dam n cone, not a rock. The cone of an 15" doesn't weigh that much more, so if a proper box is built, the 15" will play louder, lower, but have the same sq....
