Subwoofer works just on few song

Hello all car audio lovers. Curently I have bmw e39 with shitiest saund system( no original amp) For extra bass i added Subwoofer in the trunk and connected amp through hi-low addapter connected from back deck speaker. And the problem is that subwoofer kicks just on few songs from 100+song playlist. On others songs looks like where is no event subwoofer installed. I have alredy tried to install different amp and sub but same results sub works just on few songs. Any ideas?

Any ideas

Your back deck speakers are probably filtered. That means they are protected by a cross over so they only get a bass signal. Since you connected from them, you are only amplifying a very low(hertz) signal not used by most artists. I would connect the hi-low adapter to the front door speakers. Since they get the full spectrum, your amp will amplify the widest signal it can play.

Are you stating that the sub plays better when you disconnect one RCA?

Yes, with new amp and sub and with old sub and amp same thing better subwoofer worked with one rca disconected. Both subwoofers works perfectly fine with aftermarket radios

Try replacing the cables as it sounds like something is off with them. And you say "radios" does that mean you have tried multiple ones? If so then that would lead me to the cables.

Yes tried with 2 with aftermarket radios alrefy istalled in the car. Could i some how connect wrong hi low converter?

Try another set of rca cables! Might be those you never know.

This is what I suspect now. Try switching polarity on the wires that connect to the rear deck speakers. Choose left or right, not both. If it works, awesome, if not, we are here to help.

Yep, what worked, changed polarity and sub started to work better, but not perfect. Now sub not only kicks the bass but also i can hear some song going from subwoofer. How can i fix this problem?

The amp should have a built in x-over. Set it to LPF, and the frequency to 80hz.
