Subwoofer wont work!

Sounds like you're getting it figured out. If there were tweeters in the box, it's flea-market prefab. Eventually, you really should either build one yourself, or have someone build you one. Prefab sucks.

I'm curious though, if you're not using a distro block, are you running a separate power wire to each amp from the battery? If not, how are you splitting to the two amps?

Also, there's no way those tweeters could handle anywhere near the power the subs can. Not only could they cause an air leak problem, but they would blow instantly if you were giving them hundreds of watts.

Blind leading the blind in here?

Lol.

The amplifier(s) you are using are NOT 800watts and 1000watts.

Usually when amplifiers list PEAK wattages like that, their CONTINUOUS or RMS wattage if half of that.

BUT, to be completely honest, the amplifiers you are using are of very poor quality. The american pro, you'd be lucky to be getting 300rms out of. The Sony, you'd be lucky to be getting 400rms out of.

So, together... at most... you're getting around 700rms. At best.

8awg would be fine for this, just make sure it is fused accordingly.

Now for the subwoofers, if you're using a box as you described... they are also of poor quality. As stated, unhook the tweeters.

Just for future reference, a great way to check if a speaker works... is to take a 9V battery OR a Drill battery. Take the speaker wires coming from your speaker and tap them together on the battery... if the speaker makes a "popping" noise... it should function.

Yes I think it has horns or something, think I remember my brother in law mentioning something about that ( I didnt get it from him )...

I had 2 seperate power wires going to the battery...one for each amp. But I went out and got a ...fuse block or some kind of block? Because when I got the 4 guage wire, it wouldnt fit in the 8 guage fuse. So now I have the option of having 2 2-8 guage inputs and 4-8 outputs on the block.

And yes I was just looking up how to build your own sub enclosure because the woofer isnt exactly stable, they used 2-3 different kinds of screws and they dont hold the sub in tightly as I wish. And I had to mod it a little bit, only 1 sub fits in the trunk at a time.

Hoping to do some kind of box so I can use both subs.
