Subwoofer vent pole clearance?

I've searched and found differing opinions of the minimum space needed behind the subwoofer for cooling so I figured I'd bring it up again.

I'm running a DC Level 3 12" and trying to build a box that will fit behind my console in a crew cab pickup. The most space I can get is 3/4".

I'm putting 900 watts to the sub but never play it hard for longer than 15-20 mins and thats probably at the absolute extreme of length of time. 95% its less then 10 minutes.

Any thought?

I wouldn't so much worry about it. Do what you can, but plenty of good subs have a solid pole piece and many competitors tape up their pole vents so it's not like it won't function if you have the pole vent crowded.
