subwoofer terminal cup melted

Sounds like a loose connection inside the box. If I were you I'd pull the terminal cup, seal off the hole with some MDF, screws, and sealer, and use bolt terminals. They generally allow better current flow with less resistance. Use a sharpie to mark the negative terminal if you go this route. It might look a little ghetto-rigged but it should hopefully work better. Best of luck to you!
