Subwoofer temperature/stiffness

After installing my T10001bd (gains are set) for my power HX2 and running it on my drive today at 32/62 avg to 47/62 max for a few seconds, I checked for any problems. It still sounds great I'm just trying to be careful. I noticed the dust cap was a bit warm (a little less warm than if you were to exhale heavily on your palm) and it was much less stiff than before. There wasn't any smell or anything. Question is should I be worried about it being less stiff? What about it being a little warm? Probably a dumb question but I don't know.

i wouldnt worry about it, as long as your gains are good, subs "break in" where they get looser, my L7s did that, and subs get warm, thats how it is, eletricity is hot,
electricity is warm.. if the cone gets any warmer than warm, ease up.. the sub should get a little louder as it breaks in, maybe.. if its new

whatever is conducting the current gets warm because it has resistance (ie. the sub's coil) that is where the heat is coming from. and the looseness you're referring to is the spider loosening up.
