subwoofer Suggestions

Uhm... wouldn't it be a good idea to tell us what you didn't like about your previous subs? What you want out of the new one besides get super loud and sound really good. That's not being realistic. Ive you've had all these setups, you realize you tune for burps (serious SPL guys), or you tune for music... basically. You aren't gonna get a setup that kills in SQ and owns in the SPL lanes, period. No matter what brand is on the dustcap.

And, if you've owned/run all these subs, you realize you are asking advice from people 99% of which have vastly less experience than you... right?

This thread is extremely odd.

well the soundstream xxx that drink too much power

the mmats jug that played good but dustcap get too hot hot air coming out of the port did not burn

orion h2 played real low sweet bass not to good on the power handling side i burnt it about 2 times but real real good sub

lanzar optidrive 15 not much sq in that sub handles 60 hz bass tones real good i was shocked little or no distorion from it magnet get real hot the sub was built big frame but no heavy that shocked also

orion xtr top of the line their are the best to me my old school xtr 15s powered by a esx amp that got stolen

atomic apx real good the jug and orion had better low tones to me but the box was tuned to 40hz maybe thats the problem with my atomic sub no problems with repairs no wire broke nothing went worny with it in my hands but jus i find the bass dont get low like orion and the jug

i wanted kove audio but never got my hands on them

Sounds like the majority of your subs got hot which makes me think you were clipping them, or heavly overpowering them, The atomic apx probably wanted more power in the range of 8k and you had it tuned WAY to high to get much if any low end out of it. DD99z, AQ hd3 are good choices.

Depends of what kind of power you have to use?! If you have the power to support the needs of the apx then yes, but I can tell you first hand the APX is a stiff a$$ mofo of a woofer! with 4k it barely moved, but with 8k you noticed it moving, 10k just stupid loud.

well i did not hav 8k power what hz u think i should rum de apx

to get a amp puting out 8000watt funds boi funds

if i find money or save some i go buy back one try to get a bigger amp

or use 2 vr4000d on it

t3 what u think i see 1 can handle 4000 rms sounding good

If you dont have the power, then thats what you should start with on the apx, you claim money is the problem, then stop buying so many **** expensive subs and make what you have work, before claiming it sucks, these subs your listing are all SPL subs, most people dont think SPL subs SOUND good, because they are not built SQ wise or sounding good, they are designed mainly to take alot of power and be loud.
