Subwoofer questions! Urgent!

Looks good to me. Be sure to use coarse thread 1 5/8 drywall screws and either titebond II wood glue or a heavy duty construction adhesive. Go 1.5-2inches in from the corners when putting the screws there and be sure to predrill the holes the avoid splitting. And the hole cutout for the pvc should be 3.5inches and make sure to seal up where it goes into the box real good too.

Thanks a whole lot man. I really do appreciate finally getting a decent answer. Hopefully while I'm building it and working with my gf's dad I'll learn a lot more about it. Would you recommend any bracing? like using scrap pieces of MDF to make horizontal and verticle supports? and would you reccommend any interior insulation like polyfill or fiberglass insulation?

You don't need polyfill. Bracing wouldn't hurt, but you'll have to make the box bigger to compensate for the space displaced by the braces. A few small pieces of mdf won't add a whole lot though. I like to use 1.5inch dowels because they don't take up a lot of space and are cheap. Bracing is very important on larger boxes and should always be utilized on boxes bigger than 2 cu/ft. If you want to get real fancy you can do a double thick front baffle and put 2 pieces of wood together for the front panel and then take it a step further and cut out a flush mount on the top panel so the woofer sits flush with the front panel.
