Subwoofer question from the new guy

Hello to all the other audio enthusiasts ...

Need some help

have a 2.5 cu ft box tuned to 30hz and only have enough

room to mount a single 10"

any suggestions on a 10" that will work in a box this size that can handle the

rockford t10001bd (spec sheet 1250 watts) i have on it.

I currently have a new series alpine type r but it does not much like the

the excursion when you crank it (not really intended for a big ported box but it is what i had already).. Sounds good to a point and then the voice coil

pops ... Looking at the new pro series re as well as fi btl - any other suggestions?

box is in a 4 door Titan and not enough room under back seat for a twelve" ... My old store bought box had down fire subs - did not much care for the sound so built my own with the sub mounted firing forward ..
