Subwoofer problem in my small scion Xa help

My last car I had a Kicker L5 (05 model) in the large kicker brand ported box. The box was like 3 feet wide, huge kicker made ported box hooked up to 720RMS. The sub was crazy loud and sounded very deep to me at least. I got a new car and that box wouldn't fit.

I took my kicker L5 and put it in a small sealed box with the same amp. The sub sounds like crap, it is nowhere near as loud and doesn't hit anywhere near as deep. I have very limited truck space so I have 3 different options. (My rear speakers hang low so height of a box is a problem.

Option 1: Put the Kicker L5 in a 12in Ported Box if I can fit it in my truck.

Option 2: Alpine Type X 10in in Small Ported/Sealed Box (Which is better for this sub?)

Option 3: Two 8in subs in ported box

Option 1 & 2 are what I am stuck on unless someone can convince me of option 3! My amp puts out 720RMS at 4ohms mono, or 360RMS X 2 at 2ohms.

Rap is my music of choice.

What is woofer cooker? I did a quick google on it and nothing came up that stuck out.

Thanks everyone! Looking into these SA-8s. Being 8s, are they going to hit hard? I like that deep hard hit. Then again, my car is a hatch back so no trunk for sound to bust through.

Low sig material right here.
Woofercooker is a member of these forums and has a couple of rebuilt sa-8's that he is selling in the classifieds.
Lol thanks man, appreciate it. I am not HUGE into car audio, bodybuilding is my thing and I live on those kinds of forums all day.. but I do enjoy car audio a lot and take the time to come on here when I need something new because how I am in the bodybuilding community with knowledge, i know you guys are far superior with car audio, basically I trust you guys.

Thanks again, really appreciate it.

If you like the L5 just stick it in a ported box that'll fit in your trunk. It'll be less work, less money, and less of a risk experimenting with subs you've never heard before. You seem to like the deep bass, I doubt you'll get the same amount of output below ~40 hz like that L5 will do ported

Btw never seal those square subs....ever

You really think no other sub listed will keep up with an L5 under 40hz? You should try some better enclosures. You would be surprised what other subs can do in optimal size and tuned enclosures.

Yes. I do believe the L5 will play lower, louder than the 8's listed

Only if it can have a decently large enclosure. If that kind of space is not available then it will not in this application.

I would venture to say that 2 of the SA8s could keep up with the L5 though.
