Subwoofer power output changes day to day?

Hi guys I have an Alpine SBR-512D4 12" sub 1000rms and 3000 watt max powered by a kicker monoblock amp 1350rms and I remember when I first got it. It was amazing and very powerful I loved it. And I can't remember when but the power seemed to have dulled and it starts to clip before it gets anywhere near as crazy powerful as before.

After months, yesterday it brought a smile to my face as for some reason it was banging again and shook the car and I ended up blasting it all day. I got into my car this morning hoping to have the same result but it was back to normal unfortunately. Still shakes the car but isn't as low or powerful and I've spent 10,000ks in the car listening and i can tell there is a huge difference in the quality without a doubt. I was wondering why this is happening?

You might have worn down the coil. Or more likely is that you got acclimated to the bass. My 4 18s on 30k watts feel the same way but. It feels weak even though all normal people cant sit in the car for more than 1 second at 50% volume.

I'm going to guess your sub is failing somewhere or you simply have a loose wire or terminal. Double check all connections at the amp and box and your grounds. Take the sub out of the box and test both coils with a multimeter and examine it for physical damage (see if the tinsels and terminals are all firmly connected).
