I just purchased the jvc kd-avx33 and I am having some trouble with the subwoofer output. a "typical" head unit will have the subwoofer output with two rca female connectors, (one red and one white). this head unit has only one female connector which is black. my question is how do i connect this unit to my amplifier? the picture is of the outputs to another jvc unit i own, and the wiring harness to the avx33.. any help on this is appreciated

looks like there are two outputs to me..... it really doesn't matter if they arent shown in red and white. the subwoofer signal is usually summed into a mono output anyways... sorry if I didn't help //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif .
it looks like two, but one is for subwoofer and the other is for the center channel. it is a 5.1 unit

mine don't have that second subwoofer out...only subwoofer/center...that shit didn't make any sense to me when i was puttin it in also...but, that other output should do fine..

i hooked it up that way and it doesn't work, the center is designated for that speaker only

use a y-adapter if there's only one jack output.
that's what i was thinking.. thanks for the help

True. Sub signals are mono not stereo, so it only needs one output. There is no left or right signal. You can use a y adapter at the amp if you want, but it should work without it.

not really true, if there is a red and white then you have stereo sub output, if you use a mono amp or bridge your stereo amplifier to mono then its mono
