Subwoofer Options....

Hey Guys...

I'm selling my 2 12" inch 2007 model version RF P2 Subs and a box for 200$.

To replace these I have a couple possibilities for options...(these are all used options)

1. 1 12in Alpine Type R with box for 2 12" subs - $60

2. 2 15in RF P1s with box - $100

3. 2 Alpine Type Rs with ported box - $200 (possibly, have not contacted seller)

4. 2 12'' Kicker CVR with box - $200 (possibly have not contacted seller)

I like SPL because I listen to rap/ hip-hop or whatever they call it. I like my lows.

I'm running an Alpine mrp-350 amp (350 watt RMS at 2ohm) wired with 8 gauge power and ground wire. I have a Pioneer DEH-P490IB HU.

My amp will be a little bit underpowered for the single Type R, but could purchase an amp that can power it.

I should be able to power the two P1s with my current amplifier.

I pretty sure I couldn't power the 1000 watt RMS of the 2 Alpines with my current amp and wouldn't have extra money for a better amp for them.

I have no idea what the CVRs run at, but those are not my top choice.

I have a fair knowledge about car audio, thanks to this site, but I was just wondering what would be the best for my monetary situation.

You're not going to get alot of SPL w/ a 350w amp, i'd save up for a bigger amp and start there.

Edit, what's your budget for a new sub/subs?

I'm trying not to spend much more extra money, but I like the level of bass i can get with my subwoofers, just wanted to try something else. and amp is deffinately on the list...(eventually hockey and lacrosse are still rolling along, and won't be able to work until summer).

But i found a buyer for my subs, and i'm selling them for more that what I paid, so i figured I'd give something else a try
