Subwoofer making scrathy noise

Today I was driving home from work and my subs were hitting good then it started to make a scratchy noise when it would hit the mid to lows. does anybody know what the problem could be .

Coils came apart maybe? Take the sub out and look at the coils see if they are burnt looking or if they came undone from the cone.

Sounds like a rubbing coil.

Might be time for a recone. :x

who can i talk to to get a recone or s it hard to recone a sub myslef

it is i am thinking about selling everything cuz this kid said he would pay 1000 for the box amp and 2 subs and making a wall with 2 15 fi btls
