subwoofer keeps cuttin goff

my amp keeps cutting of when i turn this up. how would i wire this sub with this amp? or is the amp too much for the woofer or vise versa

That looks like a dual; 2 subwoofer wired to 1 ohm...the Alpine mono amps are two ohm stable...unhook your jumpers...wire one to the middle red and black on sub ...take remaining other 2 outer leads and run to the amp

im trying to get a better understanding on how to hook it up.. so its only one sub so do i leave the 4 jumpers hooked up the same way or do i unplug a Couple?

Should say 4 or 2 ohms by the subwoofer connectors... Or flip the sub and take a pic of the model number and post it up here...

If your sub is d4 go to 12volt wiring website and look at the diagram to wire a d4 ohm woofer to 2ohm.... If your sub is a d2 ohm go to 12volt wiring website and look how to wire a d2 woofer to 4ohm so your amp won't shut off...

i just got off the phone with Alpine.. do you think its cutting off because im running a 8g power cord? they said the recommended gauge is 4g
