Subwoofer Hum (loud)

So I'm stumped... getting a lud hum from the subs. Doesn't matter the source or volume or playing anything. When the sub amp turns on the subs make the noice and it is a constant tone. This is not a new install. Its been in this car for 4 years roughly. It comes and goes for the past 2 weeks. I checked the ground as that what my first thought of the cause. But the ground is solid. All connections to the sub are secure. Not getting any humming sounds from the highs or their amp, just the subs. Not sure if I should open up the dash and check connections or test something else....

The following is what I have....

2006 Acura TL w/ nav

Phoenix gold amps

O.5 sub amp

ZX450 4 channel amp

3 - 15W6 JL Audio

MB Quart 6.5 components x2

Using 2 line out converters connected after factory car amp.

I've owned all of this for 20+ years and never had a problem.

i had the same problem ... the subs would do the hum or sometimes engine whine ... what i did to fix my problem is that the guy who wired my truck ran the rcas almost close to the power cable ' so i bought new quality t spec 12 rcas for my monoblock amp ' and ran them to the other side of the car with the 4 channel rcas ' and it fixed everything no more buzzing hum or engine whine nothing ...

shouldn't loc be connected before the factory amp? could just be bad loc but i think u should find someone let u test their sub in car see if it does it, if not it's just sub issue..

if not disconnect 1 sub and see if the hum is there check 1 by 1

I'm running power down the left side and signals down the right side of the car. I've never run them side by side as it can cause interference. LOC's convert speaker level outputs to RCA, so will always be after an amp.

try connecting new rcas ? you said u checked the grounds ... check that any wire is not touching any metal

Bad ground(s), RCA's, loose connections, etc.

I don't get why people say they've had the same set up for so may years and expect it to last forever w/o any issues. Things happen....
