Subwoofer Grinding sound

I just got 2 TS-W309S4 subs and I pushed gently on the woofers, and they sounded like a grinding sound from one of them when I pushed on the woofer. I checked for damage, but nothing major. I got these subs brand new. Please help

Called coil rub. Maybe fine tho. Some subs have such a tight gap. That if you don't push down perfectly it will do this

So if I plug the sub in and get it going, the rubbing will go away? Or will I need to get a new one? Decreased life span? Is it bad for it? Sry to bombard with questions, thanks for the quick response

The sub may be fine. You may not have pushed down evenly. Power it up and listen

Alright, I don't have pare speaker wire laying around now, but tomm I will. I'll let ya know.
