Subwoofer for a regual cab Silverado

Its been quite a while since I've last looked into car audio at all. I just picked up a 2011 Silverado and would love to throw a sub in there somehow. Obviously the old fosgate 12" P2 that I had in my car won't fit so I'm not really sure where to start. I don't really want to spend much more than I can get for my old sub.

Good shallow subs seem to be a little out of my price range and I'm weary of 8" subs, I don't know why. I don't really know where to start.

I'm debating on trying to make my own box. It doesn't look too difficult.

I don't need anything too crazy. To put things in perspective I was content with the single 12 in my car.

Any advice would be appreciated and thanks in advance.

go with 2 8's in a ported box ,should be pretty easy for your truck and if done right ,will get plenty loud .

they are authorized ,but those are older models looks like the v1.5
