I have a 2000 chevy extended cab truck currently with an audiobahn aw1200q, in a properly tuned and ported box that goes under the back seat, downfiring. it is running of of a tsunami 1800d turned down to about 800 watts. i am debating whether or not to purchase a new 12 or a couple of 8's. my choices are 2 re8's with a new amp to power them properly in a new custom box, an elemental designs 13kv.2 with their Nine.2 amp (package deal on their site) and a new box tuned to its specifics, punch hx2, alpine type r, or any other suggestions yall might have in the price range of under 200 for a 12, or maybe up to 100 per 8" i am looking for good sound quality while not losing too much "thump". If you could, please include an amp suggestion with any outside suggestions you have for subwoofers. thanks guys, -phil

Use the same amp you have and get a Shiva.

what about a tumult? a shiva would be pretty tight as db said. an se would work also.

For the price of a Tumult, you could just go with a Brahma/XXX/IDMax

thanks guys great ideas, keep 'em comin, also dbfan, why won't we discuss eD here? i'm sort of a newb and i guess i'm missin somethin. for those of you that have heard the 1200q, what is gonna be the main difference in it and the shivas or se's? just sq or will they be louder as well?

eD is in the middle of a pretty large debate/controversy right now over preorders, back orders, lead time and faulty equipment (or so the story goes). I think people are just getting tired of that arguement. I assume that's what he meant.

Everything about the Shiva is better, including the most important virtue which is build quality.

i have a profile clarus 600m amp and i'm lookin for a dual 4 sub so i can run that amp at full power. that shiva is dual 8 right? i would need suggestions for a good amp to run that off of, i wont have my tsunami for much longer btw. also would it be worth the wait to wait for a koda 12? and does anyone have a guess on how much those are gonna be when they come out? also, how does the eD 13kv.2 perform. thanks guys
