subwoofer change?

I have a 2000 f250. It has a mtx thunderform, not the best I know. Anyway I had 2 ed sq10's in it and they ******. One blew so I replaced them with pioneer shallow mounts and they were def better. Now Im looking at the SD-2 10. The thunderform has 5" mounting deprth and is 1.17 cf sealed. Would I gain much switching to the sundowns? They also would be powered by my kicker zx550.3 so they will only be getting 420 watts rms.
