subwoofer break in??? HELP!!!

how do you break in parts that have no friction? unlike an engine you cant break in a sub. Maybe wear in like a pair of shoes.
totally off base dude

sub suspensions loosen up over time go look at aq or dd website they specifically state to break their subs in and how to do it to prevent premature wear.

the subs you have do not need it however. most mainstream subs do not in fact.

Subs do need to be broken into especially when they have a stiff suspension. Brand new subs with a stiff suspension will resist movement and allow heat to build it in the coil. Remember, the vast majority of cooling is from this movement. It is wise to play at a lower volume to loosen the suspension. Once the suspension has been loosened, you can slam it with a lot of power and it'll have the movement capability to self cool. Breaking in a subwoofer will help save the coil.
