I'm thinking about getting an aftermarket sub installed in the trunk of my Z4 convertible. I looked at some equipment and so far a RFosgate P3 12" in a ported enclosure with their 500 watt Power amp seems like the way to go.
The installer suggested that I stay at 500 or below so that I won't over-stress the car's electrical system. I don't really want to upgrade the alternator or add an extra battery. Also, my music preference tends to lean towards hip-hop and R&B, though the occasional Jazz and Alternative/Indie sneaks in once in a while.
My questions are:
Thanks

What do you think of the RF P3 sub and the ported enclosure? Any other recommendations?
Will there be enough bass transfer into the cabin through the sealed trunk?
Thanks
