Subsonic filter setting

The subsonic filter should be set slightly below the tuning frequency of the port in your box.

The low pass can start anywhere above the low pass frequency of the mids, then slowly lower it until it blends together with the mids.

Who uses subsonic? Turn that crap off and learn your system. You'll learn real quick what you can and can't play at full tilt. Just be careful until you learn your system well enough.

That's good info guys, but mainly I was referring to how to set the exact frequency you want when there are no marks on the adjustment knob other than minimum and maximum freq.
Find the halfway position of the knob, then that frequency is (max-min)/2, then subtract that result from the max frequency. If the bottom of the range is 10 Hz and the top is 55 Hz then the halfway point is 32.5 Hz. You don't need to dial this in precisely, just get it within a few Hz.

A subsonic filter isn't needed for sealed enclosures.
