Subsonic filter - i need educating..

Bummer, anyone else know anything about the RSDC's or wanna shed some light on WHY its so **** hard to get my amp to output 1000w truly..

no, it really doesn't make a huge difference, although you can tell whether it is on or off.
I always thought subsonic filter filtered what went into the amp, and since bass notes are 80 hz and below u set it there meaning nothing above eighty the amp reproduces.

I measured the watts with a combination of a DMM on the amp and a Clamp meter on the speaker wire from the sub.

Amps x Ac volts = watts

so 18 amps x 40.1 volts = 720 peak watts take that x .707 (efficiency of amp) and i get 510w RMS

Also positive on the ohm.. Wired it Neg to Neg Pos to Pos and Pos to amp Neg to amp.

That's why. Put the clamp on the power wire from the batt

Also there's not much below 35 hz or so in music anyway. The natural roll off of the box will suffice as a ss filter imo.

Made a difference to me, it was like driving a car without holding on to the steering wheel.. Now it feels like i have both hands on it..

Doesn't hit the lows wildly.
