subs work untill I restart my car

I just recently installed 2 polk audio 12"(db1222) subs in my 4runner.

I am using a p8002 Rockford Fosgate amp to power them.

they work fine untill I turn off my car and restart it. then I have to unhook the speaker wire from the amp and hook it back up so it will work again. after I re-hook the speaker wire it works fine untill I turn the car off and back on. (yes the amp is bridged)

Before I got these subs I had 2 infinity 12 reference series hooked up to the p8002 amp. and eveything worked fine untill I blew one of them so I unbridged the speaker wire from the amp and was using one of the 12" and it worked fine.

any idea why it keeps doing this?

There's obviously multiple things that could be causing the issue. One to start off with is the fact that your sub/box combo is wired to 2 ohms final impedance. Your amp is only stable down to 4 ohms while bridged. In other words, that amp won't power those subs.

I bought the db1222 used, subs capacitor and amp. I just have not received the amp yet so I was hopping my Rockford Fosgate would be fine with them until I get the amp in a few days but I guess not. I am planing on buying a pair of Rockford Fosgate Punch P3 P3D212 to use with my Rockford fosgate amp(p8002). I just got a really good deal on db1222 and couldn't pass it up
